Lohr Finishes In Top Eight At ISC Nationals

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ women's bowler  (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) advanced to the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Singles Championships before falling Wednesday morning at Kingpin Lanes. Lohr was the first Flyer to compete at the United States Bowling Congress national championships. She finished in the top eight out of more than 680 original competitors. 

After six games of qualifying Tuesday morning, Lohr entered match play as the No. 24 seed and went up against No. 9 seed Chloe Siezega of Judson University in three games of total pinfall.. Lohr won the match 545-538 to advance to face No. 8 seed Megan Kolberg of Mount Mercy. Lohr went on to win that match 520-445 to advance to Wednesday morning's quarterfinals.

Lohr went up against top seeded Crystal Elliott of Jacksonville State and built a 278-193 lead after one game with her school-record total. However, Elliott came back to win the match 651-620, striking out in the eighth through 10th frames in the final game to win the match.

"I am so proud of her," coach  said. "She fought through a bad blister and made some of the best shotmaking of her career in the quarterfinal match. We came up with a new plan for the match and she executed it very well."
