Over 1,000 Students to be Honored at May Commencement

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ will celebrate May Commencement ceremonies for more than 1,000 students May 10-11 on the university’s campus in Romeoville.   The celebration begins Friday, with the Graduate Degree Ceremony for the College of Business and the College of Education and Social Sciences, which honors over 200 students receiving certificates of advanced study and master’s degrees, as well as graduates of adult accelerated programs. Naifa Hussein Alturi, Ann Marie Gifford, Gerald Holmes and Charlotte R. Kelly will receive a Doctor of Education degree.  The Morning Graduate Degree Ceremony for the College of Aviation, Science and Technology and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences honors about 250 students receiving doctoral degrees, certificates of advanced study, and master’s degrees, as well as graduates of adult accelerated programs. Anne Marie Horne, Kerrie Marie Samuelian and Desiree Merri West will receive a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.  The Afternoon Undergraduate Degree Ceremony will honor more than 300 College of Aviation, Science and Technology, College of Nursing and Health Sciences as well as College of Humanities, Fine Arts and Communications degree recipients.   Sofia Jehanzeb Khan will offer the Lasallian Address, sharing insights on the University Mission values of Knowledge and Association. Khan earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Also, during the ceremony, Isabel Y. Holguin will be recognized with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award for her transformation while earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing.   The Evening Undergraduate Degree Ceremony will honor close to 300 College of Business as well as College of Education and Social Sciences degree recipients. Khan will offer the Lasallian Address, sharing insights on the University Mission values of Knowledge and Association.  Tickets are limited for the in-person events.
